Admission of Children to the School
Our published admission number is 60 per year group, i.e. we can accept 30 children into each class in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
Decisions on admissions to Reception classes are made by Cumbria County Council. Neither the Head nor the governing body is involved in the selection procedure.
If you wish your child to attend Ashfield Infant and Nursery School you will need to apply via Cumbria School Admissions
This is generally from the October to December prior to them starting school the following September. Confirmation of acceptance to our school will be sent via letter or email the following April.
If you have a Reception child and are wishing to join us after the September start date, please contact the school directly and we will inform you of available places.
If your child is wishing to join us in Year 1 or Year 2, please contact the school directly for further information.
Applications to the Nursery should be made to the school directly. Nursery children start in the term after they have turned 3 years of age. Please contact the school for an application form and further information.
Visits to our school are always welcomed. Please ring to make an appointment.
